This is the title of an article by Alexander Mamontov, Director of the Business System Development Department of the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel, and Veronika Denisova, Executive Director of IPWeek, published in the magazine “Standards and Quality”.
The article is devoted to the experience of the Polar Division and the Norilsk Division in deploying large-scale work to build a business system: from the first steps of implementing individual lean manufacturing tools, through error analysis and development of customized approaches to the formation and implementation of a new strategy.
While working on the article, the authors did a great job of systematizing the experience and interviewing those who determine the corporate strategy and form the corporate culture (Nikolay Utkin – Senior Vice President of Norilsk Nickel and Daria Kryachkova – Vice President for HR Policy), who laid the foundations and made the first, most difficult steps on the path of change (Irina Voronkova, Director of the Department for Improvement of Activities of the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel). The article presents the main principles of the business system of the Norilsk division, developed by Alexander Mamontov, Director of the Business System Development Department of the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel.
